About the Print...
The vintage New Jersey scene features the three classic
Thunderbirds from the Convention logo - a Torch Red '55, a Colonial White
'56, and an Azure Blue '57.
The cars are parked at a classically
styled diner, a specialty of the Garden State. New Jersey is sometimes referred
to as the "Diner Capital of the World". More
than half the municipalities in New Jersey have a diner. There are approximately
570 diners , more than in any other state. (New York and Pennsylvania are
2nd and 3rd in the diner derby. Together, these three states have 3/4 of
all the diners in the USA. Two of the three remaining diner manufacturers
are located in New Jersey.
New Jersey is home to the Statue of
Liberty, and the "Liberty Diner" got its name from it fictional location
- overlooking the Hudson River. The Statue of Liberty can be seen reflected
in the window of the diner's vestibule. |
