Migrate to the Garden State - New Jersey 2002

Seminars

In preparation for the 2002 CTCI International Convention, members of the New Jersey Open Road Thunderbird Club attended the "Chicago 2000" International and all of the 2001 Regional Conventions. In addition to having fun ourselves, our goal was to spread the word about the 2002 International Convention. We were also taking notes on hosting conventions, and getting feedback and suggestions from CTCI members.

One important message we got was "don't forget about the cars"! People appreciate the efforts to arrange activities and sightseeing excursions during Conventions, but there should be focus on the cars beyond Concours day. With that in mind, we are proud to offer a variety of seminars. We have something for the novice enthusiast, something for the seasoned veteran, and something for wives who are looking for an excuse to stop cleaning that undercarriage.

Space is limited! Be sure to sign-up for these seminars at the Registration Table as soon as you arrive.

"T-Birds For Dummies"
Friday, June 28th
4 pm - 6 pm

T-Birds For Dummies
Are you a new T-Bird owner? Are you new to CTCI? Is this your first CTCI Convention? Do you have questions about Classic Thunderbirds? Can you spot the clues to know whether it's a '55, or a '56, or a '57 when you see one on the road? What's an "E" Bird? Or an "F" Bird? This seminar's for you!

The seminar will go over the basic features and the differences and variations amongst the Classic Thunderbirds. Our knowledgable and friendly expert will do his best to answer your Thunderbird questions, and point out the distinguishing characteristics.

You will be encouraged to ask questions during the seminar, but you can also fill-out a "question card" in advance. Question cards are included in your registration packet, and can be submitted at the Registration Table.

Creative Memories has the answer! Our instructor will show you how to make beautiful photo albums, that will be cherished for years to come. Bring along some photos of your car or family to work with. Don't have any pictures with you? Come anyway and get some ideas of what you can do when you get back home.
"Ask The Experts"
Saturday, June 29th

Ask The Experts
OK, you've got the basics covered. (Now that you attended the "T-Birds For Dummies" seminar.) Maybe you have some more advanced questions? Are you struggling with a restoration or maintenance problem? Do you know a lot about these little birds? Well, there may be something more to learn...

We've assembled a panel of CTCI members who are considered to be experts on the Classic Thunderbird. Their backgrounds and experiences differ, which will make it that much more interesting. Whether it's mechanical, or electrical, authenticity, restoration and replacement parts -- they've got it covered!

You are welcome to ask questions during the seminar. However, we encourage you to fill-out a "question card" in advance. If it's a tough question our experts might need to do a little research -- or we might have to find an additional expert! Question cards are included in your registration packet, and can be submitted at the Registration Table.

"A Psychic Evening"
