There is traditionally a Driving Event at a Regional, and the Touring Division cars receive extra points for participating.

At the Northeast Regional, the Driving Event was a "Poker Run" held on Saturday afternoon after the judging was completed. The event was open to all cars and prizes were awarded for the three best Poker Hands. Touring cars were the only ones to receive the extra points (10) for participating but we had several Concours and Display cars participate as well.

Poker Run - Checkpoint #1 (Wendy Meehan's '56)
Poker Run - Checkpoint #2 (Walt Strohmayer)
The participants were given directions to a nearby park, where they were to look for the Green '56 (an easy target!) as their first checkpoint. After picking two cards they were directed to a gazebo on the far side of the park to collect two more cards. When they returned to the show field they received their last card, and turned in their hand. The prizes for the three best hands were announced at the Awards Banquet on Saturday night.
